Premier League, La Liga and Serie A To Return In June.

Football all over the world has been on suspension since March when the novel coronavirus that broke out in Wuhan, China spread to all the corners of the globe. The German Bundesliga has since returned after the German government contained the virus outbreak.

The English Premier League, Spanish La Liga and the Italian Serie A are planning to follow suit. They have penciled June 2020 as their return date.

The Premier League plans to return to the small screens by June 12 or June 19th (players want June 19). In light of that decision a first round of coronavirus test has been done and a second one will be done soon.

The Spanish La Liga will grace our televisions on June 8 2020 after the Spain government gave the greenlight for football in the country to return. This is what Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said: “With the endorsement of the Higher Sports Council, the green light has been given for the professional soccer league to be played again, from June 8.”

The Italian Serie A has also penciled a June 13th return of football. Players have resumed training this week. The June 13th is however subject to the Italian government’s approval.
